Sustainability should be the key to unlocking your hotel’s full potential

Meet Amy Wald, President at Greenluxe

Hi, I’m Amy Wald, a self-proclaimed hotelophile (that’s French for 'obsessed with hotels' 😉) and animal lover. My journey to sustainable hospitality wasn't a straight path – it was a heart-calling that led me from cruise ships to the jungles of Sumatra, and eventually to discovering my true purpose. With a degree in sustainable business and wildlife management, backed by LEED, WELL, GSTC, and ISSP certifications, I've spent the last decade transforming hotels into beacons of sustainable luxury.

But here's what truly lights me up: I've seen firsthand, from the Caribbean to Tahiti, from historic European properties to remote eco-lodges, that sustainability isn't just good for the planet – it's a powerful catalyst for transformation. Every property has its own unique soul, and when we weave sustainability into its DNA, something magical happens. Guest experiences become more authentic, employees find deeper meaning in their work, and hotels become true pillars of their communities.

I bring more than just expertise to our partnership – I bring a genuine passion for turning your sustainability vision into reality. Through personally crafted workshops and hands-on consulting, we'll develop strategies that honor your unique brand while creating measurable impact. Together, we'll write a success story that's impossible for the marketplace to replicate.

When I'm not helping hotels reach new heights of sustainable luxury, you'll find me exploring bucket-list destinations for fresh inspiration, practicing my French, or fostering pregnant mama dogs – because making a difference comes in many forms!

Ready to transform your property into a leader in sustainable hospitality? Let's start this journey together.

Did you know?

Sustainable hotel properties typically have higher staff retention rates. When employees feel proud of their workplace’s commitment beyond profit, they stay longer, reducing costly turnover.

Approach

Our approach centers on unlocking your property's unique story through sustainable innovation. I believe every hotel has distinctive qualities that can be amplified through thoughtful environmental practices, creating experiences that are impossible for competitors to replicate.

By weaving sustainability into your existing brand DNA, we enhance what makes your property special while building meaningful connections with guests who increasingly seek authentic, purpose-driven experiences. This isn't about following trends – it's about leading them, transforming your hotel's unique character into a compelling narrative of luxury that cares.

Think of sustainability not as a layer we add, but as a lens that magnifies your property's existing brilliance. Together we will create a combination of hyperlocal partnerships that showcase your destination, innovative guest experiences that celebrate your environment, and operational excellence that reflects your values and reduces costs; the solutions we craft will be are uniquely yours.

Let's collaborate to amplify what makes your property extraordinary through the power of purposeful hospitality.
